The Ghost of Fiddler’s Rock – Story Background

“The Ghost of Fiddler’s Rock” is based on a very well known legend from Tennessee. Fiddler’s Rock, also known as “Screaming Rock,” is located in Johnson County in the far northeastern corner of Tennessee. The rock hangs overa ravine near the top of Stone Mountain between Mountain City and Laurel Bloomery. It is regularly noted as one of the most haunted places in the South, and visited by tourists and ghost hunters alike. See if you can hear the ghostly fiddle next time you visit – just watch where you step!
