When the tank was smashed, the mermaid came out and took the doctor with her out to sea, so since apparently he did not drown, he was changed into a fish with sharp teeth, a green eye and a blue eye. To sum it up if you see a fish with such a description, then that was the doctor who changed from human to fish. Good story I thought.
