Wait ‘Til Jesse Comes – Story Background
This is a very old and well known folktale. The name of the mysterious person/thing who is “coming” changes, but in each story the cats whisper to the unfortunate traveler that something wicked is indeed approaching. I’ve never read a version where the traveler sticks around long enough to find out what it is!
