If Jesse would have in fact shown up, and done away with the old man in whatever horrible way I'm sure we've all imagined, then it really wouldn't be a story. I like it because this is a classic example of what I would've done. Not sure I would've waited as long as he did, given the size of the second cat though! Who/whatever Jesse is, I'm not waiting around to meet him either! I agree with Emilee.
